NOTE: The itinerary below is for the 15 day trip. The 11 day itinerary excludes the visit to Khorixas, Swakopmund and Sossousvlei.

Day 1
Leave Cape Town and travel along the West coast through the West coast National Park – visit Langebaan Lagoon – the most picturesque in the country – lunch at Saldanha – visit the bird-island in Lamberts Bay – Cape Gannets - Cormorants – Penguins – seals. Overnight at Springbok – the capital of Namaqualand and our copper belt – the Mineral stone world of South Africa.
Day 2
Leave for Augrabies Falls – the sixth biggest in the world. Visit Augrabies National Park – drive along the Klipspringer trail. View Moon rock and Mount Arorat. Stay for the night in comfortable rondavels.
Day 3
Early morning drive through the Augrabies National Park in search of Sprinbok and Eland as well as Giraffe. After lunch drive through to Upington for overnight at the Protea hotel on the Orange River.
Day 4
Leave for the Kalahari Gemsbok Park, through some of the most unusual eco-systems of South Africa, book into your rondavel before going on your first drive through the wilderness in search of the biggest and most beautiful lion in all Africa – the “Kalahari Lion”. Watch the elusive Leopard and the fastest animal on the Earth – the Cheetah. Overnight at Twee Revieren – under the African sky crystal clear and bright with millions of stars as you have never seen before.
Day 5
Before dawn wake up to see the wilderness awaken to a new day. Watch the vast herds of Wildebeest, Springbok, Gemsbok (Oryx). Return to base camp for another night under the starlit sky, in wonderful accommodation.
Day 6
After another early morning search for the wild cats of the Kalahari, return for a camp breakfast. Leave the Kalahari Gemsbok-Park for Rietfontein and cross over the Namibian border through magnificent salt pans – something to behold - through to Keetmanshoop. Visit the Quiver tree forest and rest for the night in a delightful Hotel / Guesthouse.
Day 7
Continue after breakfast to Windhoek via Mariental. Spend some time at the Hardap Dam Nature Reserve. to for a stroll through Windhoek, rich with the colonial atmosphere of an bygone area. Overnight at a wonderful hotel / guest house.
Day 8
Leave for the Etosha National Park via Okahandja – Otjiwarongo – the most fertile area of Namibia – via Otavi, Tsumeb where you can may visit the cultural village. Travel on to the Etosha National Park. Book into your air-conditioned rondavel in the first most southern fort, rebuilt by the Germans and the Ovambos, Namutoni. Relax a while at the water hole in the camp, where the game drinks undisturbed. Leave the camp for a short game drive. Watch the Elephants and Rhinos come to the water hole at night. Tuck in for the night after an exciting day.
Day 9
Take an early morning drive through the unusual wilderness to look for the big herds of Elephant, Sprinbok, Zebras, Gemsbok, Gnus, Kudu, Giraffe, and perhaps even some Rhino – and all the predators Etosha has in great abundance. Return to the camp for breakfast. Take some time off and relax by the pool before taking a drive through the lime coloured Savannah. Overnight in the same rondavel.
Day 10
Leave on another pre-breakfast drive to experience the thrills and the excitement of searching for the “Big Five” and enjoy the abundance of all other game. Return to Namutoni for breakfast. Leave for a drive through the wilderness to the other side of Etosha to Okaukejo where we will stay for the night. This site has a magnificent water hole, bordering the camp. Elephant, Rhino, Lions and all other game come down to the water hole to drink at different times.
Day 11
After another early morning drive into the bush, we return for breakfast and pack-up to leave the Etosha with mixed feeelings. We drive through to Khorixas, via Outjo. We visit enroute the magnificent Fingerklip Mountain – breathtaking site. Overnight at the wonderful hotel – guesthouse.
Day 12
After an early breakfast we leave to the west of Namibia, we visit the Petrified Forest Twyfelfontein – Orgelpipes - Burned Mountain . Past the beautiful Brandberg Mountain Range , perhaps visit the White Lady , a wonderful rock painting in the mountain. To the coast to visit the biggest colony of Cape Fur seals . Continue through to Swakopmund the prettiest of all the towns in Namibia , stay one night at a wonderful hotel on the Atlantic Coast.
Day 13
After a scrumptious breakfast , we drive along the coastline toward Walvis bay , visit the Flamingo colony , en route and continue into the Namib , the oldest desert in the world .
Through to the Namib Naukluft Park, to Solitaire – Sesriem , to Sossousvlei . These sand dunes are the biggest moving sand dunes in the world They are gigantic and a sight never to be forgotten . Overnight , after an spectacular sundown amongst the dunes , in wonderful accommodation in a Hotel / Guesthouse nearby .
Day 14
Pre-dawn rise to experience the sunup at the magnificent Sossousvlei , what a sight The last five kilometers have to be driven by four wheel drive vehicles , to get closest to the dunes . Return for a brunch to the Hotel at Sossousvlei . Spend the day relaxing and breathing in the unusual environment. Another night in this wonder-world of stars at night , where the sky is lit up with billions of lights
Day 15
Breakfast at leisure and a last walk before returning to Windhoek and your flight home En route back, we drive through magnificent contrasts of landscapes . Through dry riverbeds , over spectacular mountain passes , through an ever changing countryside
To think about your flight home is almost unbearable , this magnificent, unsurpassed experience of bush , people , desert , contrasting ecosystems , natural wonders , unmeasurable space , blue skies , and the diversity of its cultures A world without equal , from here it is very difficult to think about your everyday life back home . However they say , once sand of the Kalahari, or Namibia gets into your shoes , they will always bring you back here .
Perhaps , we see you next year exploring the unfathomable depths of the Fish river Canyon , the second biggest in the world , after the Grand Canyon.
