Brief Description:
This is an excellent 12 day tour that departs every second Saturday of the month throughout the year, except for December. Highlights:
Voortrekker Monument (optional), Hoedspruit Game Park/Lodge, game drive through Wild-game-Sanctuary, “God’s Window”, Pilgrims Rest, Gold-Reef-City,  Thaba ‘Nchu Sun Casino, Addo Elephant Park, Tsitsikamma Rain forest, Oudtshoorn Ostrich Farm, Cango Caves.

Departure every 2nd Monday of the month. Johannesburg. We will drop you off at any place of your choice in Cape Town 08:00am

Itinerary – 12 – day

Day 1
We collect you at the Hotel in Johannesburg, continue to Pretoria for a visit to the “Voortrekker Monument” (optional). We continue through our gold and coal producing area of South Africa, via the Erasmus Pass Strydom Tunnel to Hoedspruit, Three Rondavels on Panorama Route, and on to a private Game Park/Lodge. We will check in and freshen up before leaving for the first encounter, with the African bush and its diversity of wild animals, in an open safari vehicle. Return after dark for a traditional dinner (included) and overnight ‘rest’ – if you are not to hyperactive.

Day 2
You are awakened to tea / coffee and snacks before heading out for a bush walk to corner the elusive big five. Return for a sumptuous breakfast. Continue to the World renown Wild-Game Sanctuary, the Kruger National Park, with all its 20000 square kilometers of diversity and African wild life. This land is filled with excitement and surprises. We will check in at a climatised Rondavel before going on a night drive through the park in open landrovers. This is a truly unforgettable experience.

Day 3
Dawn awakens with an early morning game drive to track down any of the big five that you might have missed. Breakfast will be served en- route to our next camp which is situated along the shores of the Sabie river – Relax for a while and take an afternoon, or an optional night drive through this wonderful wildlife sanctuary .

Day 4
Early morning drive through the game park with breakfast en-route We are now leaving this magnificent park for Hazyview, via the Blyde river Canyon, Bourks Luck Potholes, “Gods Window”. Overnight at Hippo Hollow, or similar at Hazyview .

Day 5
After breakfast we continue to Sabie. Visiting Pilgrims Rest (old gold diggers town), through Robberspass to Lydenburg - Middelburg, back to Johannesburg for overnight at a wonderful hotel at the airport.

Day 6
After breakfast, on our way to Johannesburg, the city of Egoli. After a visit to “Gold-Reef-City”, cultural show included we continue to Bloemfontein, Thaba ‘Nchu Sun. A casino / hotel, where you can try your luck with “fortuna”. Enjoy the beautiful surrounds of this ex “Homeland” before going to rest, in comfortable accommodation..

Day 7
Continue to Port-Elizabeth – via the Addo Elephant Park, we are going to stay here for one night in comfortable Rondavels. We take you on a afternoon drive through the park to see the elephants. Officially, a ‘Big 7′ game park. These elephants are unique as only the bulls have tasks. The chances are good that we may see buffaloes or rhinos as well

Continue to Port Elizabeth after a short drive through the park , or perhaps visit Shamwari (optional ) for a short visit. Book into the Beach / Marine hotel, overlooking the Algoa Bay and the Indian Ocean on the summer strand in Port Elizabeth

Day 9
Leave Port-Elizabeth via Jeffrey’s Bay with Cape St. Francis in the background – through the Tsitsikamma Rain forest and “Natures Valley”, to the Pearl of the Garden Route – Plettenberg Bay. We will travel on through the “Garden of Eden” to Knysna with its picturesque lagoon, for an overnight stay at the Wilderness, at the edge of the Indian Ocean.

Day 10
Board the “Outeniqua Choo Tjoe” for a trip through the most breathtaking part of the Garden Route – over five lakes, five river mouths, and two rivers. Overnight at the Wilderness on one of the nicest beaches of South Africa – the most photographed one on the tour.

Day 11
After a filling breakfast, continue over the Outeniqua Mountains to the Ostrich Mecca of South Africa Oudtshoorn – for a tour through the Safari Show Ranch and a ride on the fastest bird on two legs. We have specialty ostrich steaks. Thereafter, visit the crocodile / cheetah farm and continue through to the world famous drip-stone caves, the “Cango Caves” – the most beautiful in the world. Via the Robinson Pass back to the Indian Ocean for overnight stay at the historical “Post Office Tree Manor at Mosselbay.

Day 12
After an historical walk through Mosselbay – board the Caraval, the ship first explorers used to sail into this bay – anno 1488. Visit the famous “milkwood tree” – where the first post office transaction took place in 1500. Continue to Swellendam – one of the oldest towns in South Africa before travelling on to Hermanus – the place of the rich and famous. From there we will go through the apple / pear orchards, or along the Riviera of South Africa to Cape Town, the mother city of South Africa.
