The Buffalo
The buffalo is an animal of legend. A sworn enemy of the lion buffalo have been known to ruthlessly hunt and pursue lions to drive them out of their territory. They will kill the cubs of a lion if they find them. Buffalo have been seen to return to a wounded partner that is under attack from lions in order to drive off the lions. Buffalo herds can comprise more than 100 head, and some very large herds of over 500 have been seen, but are rare. They graze among coarser grasses. Lone males wander about on their own and can be quite aggressive.
