Itinerary - 4 - day FROM CAPE TOWN - KLEIN KAROO - GEORGE - KNYSNA PLETTENBERG BAY - MOSSEL BAY - CAPE TOWN Day 1 .... Leave Cape Town with historical background
given by our tour guide , via Paarl Winelands - Du Toits Kloof Pass - Huguenot Tunnel - Worcester. Perhaps visit
the Brandy Cellars (biggest in the world) - (optional) - Through Robertson to Montague with its natural hot water
springs - through the Apricot / Pear orchards between the mountains - picturesque valleys - through the Klein Karoo
to Oudtshoorn , the Ostrich mecca of South Africa, for a tour through the Safari / Highgate Show Ranch . Have lunch
at the Ostrich Farm, speciality , Ostrich Steaks Visit the Cango Caves , the most beautiful Stalactite, Stalacmite
dripstone caves in the world . The Cheetah/Crocodile Ranch - optional . Overnight in a delightful Guest House /
Hotel at Oudtshoorn , or continue over the Outeniqua Pass , one of the most picturesque to the Wilderness on the
shores of the Indian Ocean .Day 2 In the morning board the Outeniqua
Choo-Tjoe , Steam Train for an unforgettable ride over five lakes , five rivers , two estuaries through the Wilderness
to Knysna . A Boatride on the picturesque lagoon , lunch at the Knysna Lagoon - home of the ChameleonSeahorse .
Visit the Garden of Eden , continue our journey to Plettenberg Bay , the "Pearl of the Garden Route".
Overnight stay at the Bayview Hotel , or the Keurboom River Lodge .Day 3 .... Spend some time in Plettenberg Bay - check for dolphins in the Bay - then continue through Natures Valley into the Tsitsikamma Rain Forest, walk over Storms River Mouth suspension bridge . Lunch at the Storms River Mouth Restaurant. Visit some of the giants of the Forrest , the Big Yellow Wood trees . Check out the World Record Bungy Jump at the Bloukrans River Bridge . We continue our journey along the Shore of the Indian Ocean towards Mossel Bay for dinner and overnight at either the Post Office Tree / Munro - Manor, or the Point Hotel , on the Bay, where the first Europeans sailed into - Bartholomew Dias - anno 1488. Day 4 .... ![]() Board the replica of the Caravel , the sailing ship, Bartholomew Dias sailed in . Visit the historic Post Office Tree . Continue onto historical Swellendam , where we have lunch . Through the Overberg region to Hermanus - the retreat of the rich and famous , and the Whale Mecca of South -Africa . After lunch travel along the Riviera of the Cape to Gordons Bay, Strand. Arriving in Cape Town at approx. 17h30. This tour is on a Dinner, Bed and Breakfast basis. Lunches and beverages are not included. Entrance fees are all included. Return Arrival: @ +-17h30. |
