Through the orange & lemon plantations along the Elephant River to Citrusdal,
at the foot of the Cederberg, with all its hidden beauty. Travel through
Clanwilliam to Calvinia, the biggest wool producing area in South Africa.
This area is especially charming in spring (August to October) with all
its wild flowers. See one wonderful eco-system after the other. Overnight
at the Keimoes guest house on the Orange River.

Tuesday (Day 2)
Continue along the Orange River through the wine lands and cotton-field to Kakamas and to the Augrabies Falls National
Park. This is one of the most powerful waterfalls in the world. It is rated as the sixth biggest. Explore the Klipspringer
Trail and keep a look out for the rare black rhinoceros. After lunch continue to the north through fascinating
sand dunes and glistening salt pans to the Molopo lodge for the night. You will be treated to a traditional 'braaivleis"
under the starlit sky of the open desert.

Wednesday (Day 3)
Wake up call is just before sun up for an early morning walk onto the ever moving, haunting, singing sand dunes
of the Kalahari. Back to the Motel for a scrumptious breakfast, after which we continue to the Kalahari Gemsbok
National Park - a wilderness almost untouched by man. Wild, pleasant, adventurous and captivating - all at the
same time. Overnight in spacious air-conditioned rondavels, under the romantic sky of the wide open spaces.

Thursday (Day 4)

the Cheetah, or perhaps the biggest flying bird in the African Wilderness - the Koribastard. Look the Giant Eagle
Owl in the eye. Return to the base camp in the late afternoon for another night under the African sky.

Friday (Day 5)
After breakfast we will take a last look at the vast herds of Springbok, Wildebeest, Gemsbok. Before saying good-bye
to this unusual part of South Africa, we will drop in at a Bushman camp and visit this near extinct, almost forgotten
culture. After this unique encounter we will travel to Upington and Springbok - the capital of Namaqualand, for
an overnight in a select hotel in the peace and tranquillity of this magnificent country.

Saturday (Day 6)
After visiting the town, we will continue to Cape Town via Vredendal, Vanrhynsdorp and Klawer. Taste the fruits
of this region, peaches, raisins, etc. If time permits, we will branch off to Lamberts Bay to visit Bird Island

experience without equal.
